Professor Ekwere Peters
International Advisory Board
Bringing over 35 years of petroleum engineering experience from field operations to education and research, Professor Peters is a valued member of Afren’s International Advisory Board. He is also the Frank W. Jessen Professor of Petroleum Engineering at the University of Texas, Austin, where he has been a faculty member since 1980.
A former Chairman of the Department of Petroleum and Geosystems Engineering at University of Texas, Austin, Professor Peters has gleaned a great deal of expertise from this role. He also gained much of his experience in the petroleum industry with Shell and BP in Nigeria, Amoco Production Company in America, and the United Petro Laboratories in Canada.
